    The "Logistics Forum 2021", organized by the Asharqia Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz on Sunday 7 November / 2021 AD, discusses the idea of establishing an integrated logistics zone in the eastern region, based on the importance of the geographical and economic location of the region, and its border and sea views, which Qualify it to be a regional logistics center.

    The head of the Logistics Committee of the Asharqia Chamber Rakan bin Abdul Rahman Al-Otaishan said that the eastern region is characterized by several comparative advantages and advantages represented in being the starting point for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries via land and sea and being the capital of Gulf industries, as well as embracing several primary and secondary petrochemical industry complexes, and several From the industrial cities in Dammam, Jubail, Abqaiq, Khafji, Ras Al-Khair, and some ports and airports, in addition to an active movement in trade, services, import, and export, which allowed it to occupy a prominent position within the projects of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it became qualified before ever to be a logistical area It has a sea, land and air view of the movement of the global economy.

    Al-Otaishan pointed out that the importance of the forum stems from holding it shortly after the launch of the National Transport Strategy, which emphasized the importance of the Kingdom’s position among the three continents (Europe, Africa, and Asia), and from there to North and South America, which His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Al-Jasser spoke about. In some aspects of his talk to businessmen yesterday at the Asharqia Chamber, the importance of the eastern region, and the effectiveness of its role in the movement of the national economy, and reviewed several projects that the region will be filled with and available to the private sector for investment, and revolve in the orbit of developing internal and external transport operations (land, sea and air and railway)

    Al-Otaishan expressed his hope that this forum will be a new addition to support investment options in the logistics field, which is one of the most important areas through which the business sector can participate in supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030.​
